About the role: -

You will join an existing team of event organisers and take responsibility for running your own events in a busy Autumn period.  In addition, as an integral part of our team you will also gain experience across multiple portfolios. For a glimpse of some of the events we organise, please see below:

You will need to be experienced in delivering events/exhibitions, with a strong customer focus, demonstrate the ability to manage deadlines, liaise with both exhibitors and contractors, organise your workload and co-ordinate on site activities. You will be a key figure in the delivery of our autumn portfolio of events.

Your responsibilities: -

You will report to the Operations Director.  You will be responsible for:

  • Delivery of your event, workIng to an agreed project schedule and meeting deadlines.
  • Liaising with the venue and contractors/suppliers and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Designing and updating floor plans, reconciling them with sales activity and the technical layouts.
  • Budgeting efficiently and containing costs.
  • Organising all aspects of the events allocated (showguides, customer liaison, contractor liaison/ordering, staffing etc)
  • Updating information manuals for exhibitors..
  • Managing any out-sourced services (e.g. onsite temporary staff, security guards, traffic marshalls).
  • Keeping the department databases up-to-date.
  • Meeting regularly with the show team.

You will be able to demonstrate the following: -

  • Degree educated (preferable but not essential as you will be experienced in delivering events)
  • Highly organised with a pro-active approach
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage contractors on site
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to hit the ground running
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to get involved
  • Previous event experience essential
  • Preferably reside less than an hour from our Wimbledon office
  • Full UK driving licence (preferable)
