Events Assistant

Job Type Contract, 10 weeks, 5-days a week Monday to Friday
Hours of work 8.30am to 5.30pm

About the role: -

This is a great opportunity to gain hands experience in an entry-level role.  As part of our busy team you will work across multiple portfolios and events;

You will acquire practical commercial knowledge and experience in event logistics, client liaison and co-ordination of on site activities.  You will be a key figure in supporting the delivery of our Autumn portfolio of events.

Your responsibilities: -

You will report to the Senior Exhibition Organiser.  You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the exhibition organisers with day to day operational tasks and coordinating project activities as requested
  • Providing office/admin support to the team
  • Liaising with exhibitors in the lead up to the exhibitions – chasing information for publications/website content in a polite, effective and efficient way
  • Liaising with suppliers daily to check orders and plans are in place
  • Updating floorplans and reconciling them with sales activity
  • Assisting as required with reporting to ensure campaign objectives and plans are communicated to the wider team
  • Pre-show preparation
  • Attending our events, usually Friday and Saturday, to support the on-site logistics

You will be able to demonstrate the following: -

  • Degree educated
  • Highly organised with a pro-active approach
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Can do attitude with a willingness to get involved
  • Previous event experience would be desirable but not essential
  • Should live less than an hour from our Wimbledon office
  • Full UK driving licence (preferable but not essential)
